Speaking on the “Sorry We’re Cyrus” podcast, Miranda described her current relationship with Taylor as a “gray area.” She explained that in any large friend group, not every friendship operates the same way. Life has changed. Neither woman is pouring the same energy into the bond these days.
Miranda suggested that fans have become overly invested in her relationship with Taylor. People need to realize friendships come in different forms, she said. And when reality TV enters the picture? Staying attached at the hip simply isn’t realistic.
The SLOMW friendship drama has been brewing for months. Earlier this year, Miranda publicly condemned Taylor’s behavior following a scandal, including a now-infamous video of Taylor throwing a stool at Dakota Mortensen. Behind the scenes, however, things may have thawed somewhat.
