The future Hall of Famer has zero interest in returning to the game. Julio Jones is loving retirement so much that he won’t even consider coaching. The former Atlanta Falcons superstar says he gave football everything and now wants nothing to do with the sport, on the sideline or anywhere else. Julio Jones’ retirement means basketball, diving, business, and absolute autonomy.
When asked if he could see himself returning to football as a coach, Jones shot it down. Hard. His answer left no room for interpretation. The 13-year veteran is not interested in spending another Sunday on a sideline, even in a polo shirt and headset. He walked away from the NFL in April 2025 after stacking up All-Pro selections, Pro Bowl nods, and a spot on the 2010s All-Decade Team. One year later, his stance has only hardened.
Jones says he is lucky to still be in great shape. No limps. No crooked fingers. He stays active through basketball, running, and diving, all on his own terms. But physical freedom is only half of it. The former wide receiver also set himself up for life after football through his businesses. He is currently chilling, making sure everything runs smoothly, and collecting the rewards of a career played at full throttle.
Some legends linger. Jones left and never looked back. No coaching gig. No comeback rumors. Just a man who knows he gave everything and owes nothing more. He wakes up, does whatever he wants, and calls that a win. Hard to argue.
