The legal battles surrounding the embattled music mogul have taken another turn. Sean “Diddy” Combs has filed an official court response firmly pushing back against explosive allegations made by publicist Jonathan Hay. In newly filed documents, the hip-hop icon “generally and specifically” denies every accusation contained in the amended complaint.
The Sean Combs sexual assault allegations response leaves no room for interpretation. Diddy’s legal team argues not only that the claims are untrue, but also that Hay suffered no actual harm and is therefore not entitled to any financial compensation. The filing represents a complete rejection of the publicist’s version of events.
The complaint centers on two specific incidents involving Diddy and the legacy of his late friend, The Notorious B.I.G. Hay claims that during a 2020 visit to a warehouse, Diddy masturbated into one of Biggie’s shirts and then threw the semen-soaked garment at him while stating, “RIP Biggie.”
The lawsuit also includes a separate allegation from 2005. In that incident, Hay claims Diddy shoved his penis in his face at a different location. Together, the two claims form the basis of a case that has drawn significant attention due to the involvement of one of rap’s most revered figures.
Combs is currently incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on separate federal charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. He has pleaded not guilty to all counts in that case and has repeatedly maintained his innocence across multiple legal fronts. His trial is scheduled to begin on May 5.
The Jonathan Hay lawsuit is just one of several civil cases Diddy faces. His legal strategy has been consistent from the beginning: deny everything, challenge every allegation, and argue that plaintiffs are motivated by financial gain rather than genuine harm. Hay’s attorney, on the other hand, issued a public statement rejecting Diddy’s characterization of the lawsuit, insisting the allegations are “arising from a place of necessity and self-empowerment.”
Hay’s legal team has already filed objections to Diddy’s accusations, and the case is expected to proceed toward depositions and potential trial unless a settlement is reached. For now, the music mogul remains in federal custody awaiting the May criminal trial while simultaneously fighting the civil claims from his former publicist. Neither side has shown any willingness to back down.
