The smile is gone. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has released the official Blessing CEO EFCC mugshot, showing the controversial relationship expert behind bars. She was arraigned on May 15 at the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, over an alleged N36 million fraud that prosecutors say involved a fake property deal in one of Lagos’s wealthiest neighborhoods.

Prosecutors accuse Blessing CEO of obtaining N36 million from a woman named Ifeyinwa Nonye Okoye under false pretenses. The alleged deal centered on leasing a six-bedroom detached duplex in Lekki, an upscale Lagos area where real estate commands premium prices. According to the EFCC, Blessing CEO never intended to deliver the property. Instead, she allegedly converted the entire sum for her own use.

The victim paid millions expecting to secure a luxury home. But the duplex either did not exist or was never available for lease through Blessing CEO. The EFCC traced the funds and built a case of fraudulent conversion. The commission argues this was not a business deal gone wrong. It was a calculated scheme from the start.

The presiding judge did not grant bail. Instead, Blessing CEO was ordered to remain in EFCC custody until June 5, when her trial is scheduled to commence. The mugshot released by the anti-graft agency shows her holding a placard with the date she was brought in and profiled. No makeup. No carefully curated angles. Just the cold reality of a holding cell.

Within hours of release, the image spread across social media. Fans and critics alike noted the stark contrast between her polished Instagram persona and the grim expression in the EFCC photo. Blessing CEO built a brand on giving relationship advice and projecting confidence. Now her face is attached to a criminal complaint involving tens of millions of naira.

The trial begins June 5. If convicted, Blessing CEO faces significant prison time for obtaining money under false pretenses. Her legal team has not yet released an official statement. For now, the woman who once told others how to handle their finances must handle the most serious financial accusation of her own life.
