Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have cleared over $2 million in contractor debt claims on their long-delayed New York dream home. A combined $2.1 million in mechanics liens filed against the couple has been satisfied as of May 26, allowing construction to resume on the 110-acre Lewisboro property.
The luxury compound has been under development for years. Plans include a 14,500-square-foot main residence, a pool house, a gym, and geothermal systems. The Hollywood power couple purchased the land quietly through an LLC in 2018, keeping the acquisition private for months.
According to records, five contractors and subcontractors originally filed mechanics’ liens against the property in April. The claims alleged unpaid work on the sprawling estate, which the couple has called their “forever home.”
During a 2022 planning board hearing, Lively described the local community as “heaven” and said the couple was “desperate to get shovels in the ground.” The project has faced multiple delays since breaking ground, with neighbors previously raising concerns about construction noise and tree removal.
The property sits on one of the largest private land parcels in Westchester County. High-end features planned for the compound include geothermal heating and cooling, a pool house with a full kitchen, and extensive landscaping across the wooded estate.
Neither Lively nor Reynolds has publicly commented on the resolved liens. Representatives for both actors did not respond to requests about when construction crews will return to the site or whether the original contractors will resume their roles.
The couple owns multiple properties across the country, including a penthouse in New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood. But the Lewisboro estate has always been described as their long-term family home, a passion project years in the making that can finally move forward.
