The legal paperwork is finally public. Jessica Alba’s divorce settlement, revealed in Los Angeles court documents, shows the Fantastic Four star paying her ex-husband, Cash Warren, a total of $8.5 million to officially end their 16-year marriage. The filings, signed by a judge on March 16, detail everything from multimillion-dollar payouts to who keeps which luxury car.
Alba, 44, and Warren, 47, separated on December 27, 2024, after nearly two decades together. They married in May 2008 without a prenuptial agreement, forcing California’s community property laws to dictate the split. The result is a complex financial web now untangled in black and white.
The Jessica Alba divorce settlement revealed three distinct payments Warren receives. First, Alba must pay $5 million from the sale of one of their marital homes. Second, she’s ordered to set aside $500,000 in a dedicated fund for their children’s expenses. Third, Warren gets $3 million in two non-taxable installments of $1.5 million, one immediately, the second due by February 2027.
Despite the massive payouts, neither party will pay spousal support. The documents explicitly state both waived future alimony obligations, reflecting the couple’s insistence on financial independence post-divorce.
Here’s where it gets complicated. Warren receives 50% of all acting royalties Alba earned during their marriage. That includes films like Machete, Valentine’s Day, her appearance on The Office, and Dear Eleanor. Alba keeps 100% of pre-2008 work including Fantastic Four and Honey.
The deal runs both ways. Alba gets half of Warren’s producing profits from projects developed during their marriage, including ESPN’s *30 for 30* and the documentary Crips and Bloods: Made in America.
Alba co-founded The Honest Company in 2011, now valued at approximately $308 million. Under the settlement, Warren receives 50% of her restricted shares in the company. His stake is worth millions, though the exact number depends on future stock performance.
The couple also splits their investments in multiple companies equally, including stakes in Popchips, WeWork, Hopscout, Sona Labs, and Telly Inc. Their art collection, furniture, and even accumulated airline miles get divided 50-50.
The asset division goes down to the garage. Alba keeps her Audi Q6 e-tron, 2025 Kia Sportage, and 2026 Kia Sportage. Warren drives away with his 2024 BMW i7. Alba retains her jewelry, clothing, and personal bank accounts. Everything jointly owned gets split down the middle.
The couple’s $10 million Beverly Hills mansion, purchased in 2017, factors into the overall asset calculation but is not specifically awarded to either party in the filings.
Three children anchor the agreement: daughters Honor, 17, and Haven, 14, plus son Hayes, 8. Both share joint legal and physical custody. Neither pays child support.
The custody terms include specific protections. Neither parent can disparage the other in front of the children. Major decisions about education, health, and extracurriculars require joint consent. For medical treatment, they must notify the other within 48 hours unless it’s an emergency.
Alba legally restored her maiden name as requested in her February 2025 filing. Both have moved on publicly. Alba dates actor Danny Ramirez, 33, known for Top Gun: Maverick and Captain America: Brave New World. Warren has been linked to model Hana Sun Doerr and actress Seanna Pereira.
When Alba announced the split in January 2025, she wrote on Instagram about a “journey of self realization and transformation.” The legal journey now ends with a signature. The personal one continues separately.
