Stefon Diggs is pushing back. The former New England Patriots star has asked a judge to shut down his male accuser’s attempt to obtain his Stefon Diggs NFL contract and related income documents.
According to court filings, Diggs argues that he is not claiming any loss to his NFL earnings. Therefore, he says, the contract has no relevance to the case. The accuser, Christopher Blake Griffith accuser, had requested information and documents tied to Diggs’ pro football income. Diggs’ legal team responded bluntly: there is no reasonable basis to produce anything further.
The allegations date back to May 2023. Griffith claims he attended a basketball game with Diggs and later went to the NFL star’s home. There, Griffith alleges, Diggs drugged and assaulted him. He further claims Diggs coordinated a second assault against him days later.
Diggs denies every allegation. In court documents, he stated that he went to bed after returning home and did not assault Griffith. The accuser’s legal team has continued pursuing evidence, including financial records, but Diggs is refusing to comply.
The judge has not yet ruled on whether Diggs must produce the contract-related documents. The legal battle remains active and ongoing.
This is not Diggs’ first legal confrontation. In a separate, unrelated criminal case, a former chef accused Diggs of assault. Diggs was found not guilty in that matter.
For now, the fight centers on paper: a contract, a request, and a refusal. Diggs says his earnings are nobody’s business but his own. The accuser says everything should be on the table. A judge will decide who is right.
