Leon Thomas took home the Best Male R&B/Pop Artist award at the 2026 BET Awards. The ceremony took place on Sunday, June 28, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Thomas beat a stacked field that included Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Bryson Tiller, Usher, Brent Faiyaz, Givēon, Durand Bernarr, and October London.
The Best Male R&B/Pop Artist category featured some of the genre’s biggest names. Thomas emerged victorious among the nine nominees. The category recognizes artists who have defined R&B and pop music over the past year. His win placed him alongside other winners from the night, including Kehlani, who won the female counterpart award .
Thomas’s BET Award adds to an impressive year. His album MUTT Deluxe: HEEL was also nominated for Album of the Year. The BET Awards featured major performances and presenters throughout the evening, with Druski hosting the ceremony.
