Zara McDermott may be living her best life at her very first Glastonbury Festival, but not everyone is feeling her festival vibe — with some fans calling her out for missing the mark on the classic Glasto aesthetic.
The 28-year-old reality TV star turned BBC documentary presenter arrived at the iconic UK music festival alongside her new beau, Louis Tomlinson, and joined by his influencer sister Lottie Tomlinsonand her fiancé Lewis Burton. But it wasn’t her star-studded company that got people talking — it was her outfit.
Zara shared a series of snaps on Instagram showing her in a sleek Adidas tracksuit and matching trainers, posing on what appeared to be a dusty footpath. While she captioned the post simply: “First Glasto”, many followers were quick to chime in that she might’ve misunderstood the assignment.

“Are you sitting in a footpath?” one user asked.
Another wrote: “This is the opposite of what Glastonbury is about. Sorry Zara, wrong vibe.”
A third added: “She has absolutely no idea. I have secondhand embarrassment!”
And a fourth summed it up bluntly: “This ain’t Coachella.”
Glam vs. Glasto
Glastonbury has always been known for its gritty, mud-streaked, carefree energy — far from the curated glam of Coachella. So Zara’s polished, almost editorial look didn’t sit right with some long-time fans of the UK festival’s more raw, relaxed spirit.
But backlash aside, it seems Zara is enjoying the experience in her own way. She’s been spotted getting close with Louis’ inner circle, even posing for photos with his sister Lottie — a clear sign that things are heating up between Zara and the former One Direction star.
A Soft Launch Romance
While Zara and Louis haven’t officially gone public on social media, their romance has been quietly unfolding in plain sight. First linked in March, the pair have since been spotted together in Suffolk, Los Angeles, and Costa Rica, with subtle social media hints dropped along the way — including a “soft launch” photo Zara posted showing Louis’ tattooed arm at breakfast.
Interestingly, the couple aren’t even camping together at Glastonbury. While Zara opted for more comfortable off-site accommodation, Louis reportedly set up camp with his friends — and even pitched a tent solely for storing booze.
“Louis is determined to make it a weekend to remember,” a source told The Mirror, adding that while Zara’s there to meet his friends, it’s “not a particularly romantic” weekend — more of a boozy bonding trip.
Whether or not she nailed the festival look, Zara’s first Glastonbury is clearly memorable — just not for the reasons she might’ve hoped.
