The two sides of Ye are finally one. The Chicago icon is preparing to release his upcoming album Bully as a collaborative project between his original Kanye West Spotify profile and the separate Ye account he created in 2024. The move symbolically unifies two distinct chapters of his career, bringing fans a project that represents the full spectrum of his artistic evolution.
Ye originally created the standalone Ye Spotify profile in 2024 as a way to release music outside of his main Kanye West page. The move signaled a new chapter one that coincided with his collaborative VULTURES projects with Ty Dolla $ign and a period of intense personal and professional reinvention.
The Kanye West account houses his legendary catalog: The College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, 808s & Heartbreak, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Yeezus, The Life of Pablo, Ye, Jesus Is King, and Donda. The Ye profile, by contrast, represented forward motion—unburdened by legacy, free to experiment.
Now Bully is bringing both eras together for the first time.
Bully arrives March 27 through a partnership with gamma., the independent music company co-founded by former Apple and Interscope executive Larry Jackson. The 13-track project represents Ye’s 12th studio album and his most ambitious rollout in years.
The tracklist spans two sides:
-
Side One: “PREACHER MAN” (featuring Quentin Miller), “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST” (with Consequence and Young Moose), “LAST BREATH,” “WHITE LINES” (with Don Toliver and Ant Clemons), “I CAN’T WAIT,” “BULLY,” and “ALL THE LOVE”
-
Side Two: “THIS ONE HERE,” “HIGHS AND LOWS,” “MISSION CONTROL,” “CIRCLES,” “DAMN,” and “LOSING YOUR MIND”
Mike Dean co-produced all songs, confirming the album features no AI-generated vocals—a concern some fans raised during early snippets. Ye has taken primary production duties himself, marking a return to the hands-on approach that defined his early work.
A press release for the album says Bully finds Ye wrestling with “remorse, memory, ego, faith, and consequence” and “using music as storytelling rather than defense”.
He’s been candid about the project’s influences. “This is more the way I remember Lauryn Hill’s album, the way I remember Miseducation,” he told Justin LaBoy. “I feel it is my Miseducation. It is my Gnarls Barkley album. Because Bully has a title and connotation that a lot of people are anti-bully. But I’m just hyper-next-level frequency right now”.
The promotional campaign has been characteristically unconventional. Earlier this month, Ye sent hundreds of drones over Grand Saline, Texas, to spell out “BULLY” in massive letters above the small town, terrifying local farmers who briefly thought they were under attack. The drones also formed a luchador mask and other shapes.
A dedicated storefront at YeBully.com offers four vinyl editions, red, clear, chrome, and black, featuring cover art of a person smiling widely with metallic grillz covering their teeth. Japanese text on the site reads ブリ(Burī), the Katakana phonetic translation of “Bully”.
To support the album, Ye has announced eight tour dates, including his first U.S. show in two years at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium on April 3. Tickets require pre-saving the album, with some fans receiving free admission.
The album arrives amid a carefully calibrated comeback. In January, Ye took out a full-page ad in The Wall Street Journal apologizing for his antisemitic comments, expressing “deep regret” and blaming the behavior on a misdiagnosed frontal-lobe injury from his 2002 car accident.
“I am not a Nazi or an antisemite,” he wrote. “I love Jewish people.” He committed to “accountability, treatment and meaningful change” through “medication, therapy, exercise, and clean living”.
The ADL called the apology overdue but didn’t dismiss it entirely. Ye has since met with a rabbi and sold-out international shows in Mexico City.
Bringing the Kanye West and Ye profiles together for Bully suggests a truce between past and present. The artist who built a legacy and the artist who burned it down are now sharing space. Whether fans hear it as redemption or just another reinvention, the music drops March 27. Both profiles will carry it.
