Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola took fans down memory lane this Flashback Friday with a mix of humor and heartfelt lament over her current body shape—specifically, her growing tummy.
Taking to Instagram, the mother of one shared an old photo of herself looking snatched and dramatically questioned the supernatural source of her present tummy size.
“Whoever ordered belle for me in my dream, o ku yin o ku Olorun! This was me a few years ago,”she wrote.
“It’s more embarrassing when they ask my son my best food, and he goes, ‘Eba.’ God help your daughter.”
Wumi’s relatable post had her fans laughing and sympathizing in equal measure, especially those who understand the post-childbirth body struggle.
The actress also reminded her followers that her new movie “KONGE” is currently showing on Wumi Toriola TV on YouTube, wrapping her post with the classic tag: Flashback Friday.
Always Bold, Always Unapologetic
Wumi’s candidness is nothing new. Just last month, she revealed a powerful truth about herself—she walks her path unapologetically and isn’t one to be swayed by hype or public opinion.
“Call it what you want,” she said, “but I see it as growth forged through struggle.”
Wumi vs Chef T & Opeyemi Famakin: The Social Media Beef
Wumi was also in the headlines recently after she called out celebrity chef, Chef T of Diary of a Kitchen Lover, for allegedly ignoring her DM during the promo of her film Queen Lateefah last year. She hinted that the chef had become too big to associate with others and labeled her an opportunist.
When food critic Opeyemi Famakin stepped in to defend Chef T, Wumi didn’t hold back. She clapped back, mocking his “desperate need for attention and relevance,” and advised him to build a proper career before coming for her.
Real, Raw, and Always Wumi
Whether she’s talking motherhood, body image, personal growth, or calling out perceived snubs, Wumi Toriola continues to keep it real with her fans—and that’s exactly why they love her.
