Nigerian forward Victor Boniface has penned a one-year contract extension with Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen, securing his stay with the club until 2029. The 24-year-old, who has quickly risen to become one of the top earners at the club, is enjoying his best form yet under the leadership of head coach Xabi Alonso.
Boniface’s stellar performances have not gone unnoticed, with several clubs, including big-spending Saudi Arabian teams, keeping a close eye on him. However, Leverkusen has set a hefty €50 million price tag for any potential suitors, signaling their high valuation of the Nigerian star.
Boniface originally joined Leverkusen in 2023 from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise and wasted no time making his mark. In his debut season, he played a pivotal role in the club’s incredible campaign, clinching both the Bundesliga title and the DFB-Pokal.
Though Leverkusen has extended his stay, the forward isn’t entirely off the transfer market. But for now, fans can continue to enjoy his electrifying performances as he cements his place as one of the Bundesliga’s brightest stars.
Stay tuned as Boniface continues to shine in Germany and draw interest from football powerhouses worldwide!
