Popular social media activist, Martins Vincent Otse, better known as Verydarkman (VDM), has fired back at a man who accused him of spying on Igbos during his trip to China.
VDM recently touched down in China and shared a video of himself rocking his traditional outfit, which quickly went viral. However, the video sparked controversy after a man alleged that the TikToker was a spy sent to expose Igbos living illegally in China — warning people to stay away from him.
Reacting to the claims, VDM strongly denied the accusations, calling the man ignorant and foolish.
VDM Clears the Air
In a video response, VDM stated that he is not against Igbos or any tribe, emphasizing that his trip to China was purely for business purposes that would benefit many Nigerians.
He also disclosed that he received several messages about Nigerians locked up in Chinese prisonsand promised to visit some of these places to see how he could help secure their freedom.
“I Don’t Worship Money”
Addressing his critics, VDM boldly declared himself as a man of integrity who doesn’t associate with criminals or shady dealings. He recalled how he exposed Gennyglow, a woman from his own Edo tribe, over her illegal skincare products.
The activist vowed to call out any thief, whether Igbo, Yoruba, or even his own brother — stating that his fight is against corruption, not tribes.
VDM’s Final Words
“I don’t worship money, I have my own money. Anyone I associate with must have integrity,” he said.
VDM promised to continue exposing criminals during his time in China, urging Nigerians to focus on the truth rather than tribal sentiment.
