Social media commentator Martins Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), has responded to allegations made by former BBNaija housemate Deeone (Aderombi Adedayo Martin) regarding his sexuality.
During a discussion on Nedu’s HonestBunch podcast, Deeone claimed that VDM is not part of the ‘straight’ community, suggesting that his attraction to men was widely known. The statement quickly went viral, sparking reactions on social media.
VDM Reacts: No Lawsuits, No Police Involvement
In a video posted on February 11, VDM acknowledged that many people had urged him to take legal action against Deeone for defamation, but he dismissed the idea.
“I am a street boy, ghetto boy, I can’t take anybody to court,” he said, making it clear that he had no interest in involving the authorities.
Exposes Nedu’s Alleged Bribe for Podcast Appearance
VDM didn’t stop at Deeone—he also took aim at Nedu Wazobia, the host of HonestBunch. He revealed that Nedu had been trying to get him on the podcast since 2024 and even offered him a car in exchange for appearing on the show.
“Nedu wanted me to come to his podcast, but I didn’t respond. When we met in Abuja, he told me that if I came on the podcast, he would buy me a car,” VDM claimed, sharing screenshots of their WhatsApp conversations as proof.
He implied that his refusal to appear may have led to Nedu and Deeone’s alleged smear campaign against him.

VDM further accused Nedu of monetizing his podcast, claiming that most influencers either pay to be featured or get paid for their appearances. He criticized the show for focusing on viral content over serious issues affecting Nigerians, prioritizing YouTube views and revenue instead.
