Popular social media critic, Verydarkman (VDM), has sparked controversy once again—this time over Destiny Etiko’s flashy G-Wagon purchase.
The Nollywood actress took to Instagram on Valentine’s Day to announce her latest ride, with blogger Tunde Ednut estimating its price at ₦350 million. However, VDM isn’t buying it—literally!
“Stop Inflating Car Prices!” – Verydarkman Speaks Out
In a recent video, VDM accused celebrities of exaggerating the cost of their luxury purchases just to flex online and put pressure on fans. He even suggested that some stars don’t actually buy new cars—they just repaint old ones and present them as brand-new.
“If you buy a car and want to show it off online, at least post the manufacturing date to prove it’s legit,” he said.
He also claimed to know two Nollywood actresses who have announced buying new Range Rovers multiple times—but in reality, they were just changing the car color and reintroducing the same ride.
Fans React to VDM’s Claims
As expected, fans had mixed reactions to his take. Some agreed, saying celebrity lifestyle is all smoke and mirrors, while others defended Destiny Etiko, arguing that she can afford luxury carswithout faking it.
The Big Question: Who’s Telling the Truth?
While VDM is known for exposing industry secrets, is he right this time? Should celebrities be more transparent about their purchases?
