Trey Songz’s alleged sexual assault victim is asking a court to release a significant portion of the money the singer paid to settle her lawsuit. According to court documents, Jauhara Jeffries settled her case in 2025 after accusing Songz of sexually assaulting her. The Trey Songz settlement funds are currently being held in a court-controlled escrow account until a lien issue is resolved.
Jeffries is asking the court to release 55% of the total amount or all amounts above $69,950.52, meaning the settlement is at least around $70,000. She says she needs the money urgently and that the delay is preventing her from moving on with her life. The court denied her request but set a hearing for later this month.
Jeffries sued Songz in 2021, claiming he sexually assaulted her at a Florida nightclub in 2018. She alleged that after partying with him at a New Year’s Eve event at Diddy’s home, Songz invited her to a club where he inserted his fingers into her vagina without consent. She also claimed that later, during a car ride, Songz demanded she turn over her phone and had her forcibly removed from the vehicle when she refused. Songz has adamantly denied the allegations. The hearing is scheduled for later this month.
