Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has responded to accusations made by a fashion designer who claimed she, along with Annie Idibia and Gabriel Anthony, owed her millions for over a year.
The designer, identified as @stitchesbyandra on Instagram, took to her stories, accusing the celebrities of withholding payments for dresses used in a project. She wrote:
“@toyin_abraham @annieidibial @gabrielanthonys, my patient is running out already. 1 year and 2 months. How can you be with someone’s millions and feel so reluctant?”
In a swift response on her Instagram page, Toyin Abraham refuted the allegations, explaining the situation as a misunderstanding. She clarified that the dresses in question were borrowed during the production of her movie, Malaika, and were returned to Gabriel, who facilitated their use.
Toyin explained:
“During the production of Malaika, there was a runway scene where we needed dresses. Gabriel, who was part of the team, mentioned his friend could lend us some dresses, and we used them. After the shoot, the dresses were returned to Gabriel, and it was confirmed that they were borrowed by someone else.”
She further noted that she had fully paid for a hairpiece she bought from the designer, and therefore, feels the issue has been wrongly directed towards her.
Toyin concluded by expressing hope that her clarification would clear the confusion surrounding the situation.
