According to reports from AllHipHop, the rapper’s spokesperson, Diana London, is furious about how the media has portrayed the incident—particularly a phone interview aired with the alleged attacker, Santino Casio.
“TMZ, of all people, gave this disgusting, vile human being a platform to spew those lies when Tory was in a hospital bed fighting for his life,” London reportedly said.
The attacker, Casio, claimed he stabbed Lanez in self-defense, alleging that Tory had put a bounty on his head and even showed him a weapon. He also claimed Tory stabbed him in the leg during the altercation. But London’s response was blunt: “Why in the hell would Tory want to kill someone when he could be pardoned or get out of prison?”

Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, is currently serving time for his conviction in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case. But aside from that high-profile legal battle, the recent prison attack has added a new and unexpected challenge to his already controversial incarceration.
