Canadian rapper Tory Lanez has announced that he will be dropping a new album on March 7, despite currently serving time behind bars for shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.
During a recent call into the Full Send Podcast, the rapper gave fans updates on his music, life behind bars, and his ongoing legal battle.
Lanez reiterated his innocence, claiming that his DNA and fingerprints were excluded from the weapon used in the incident. According to him, the narrative surrounding the case has been twisted and he believes he didn’t get a fair trial.
Speaking on his new album, Tory promised fans that the project will be unlike anything ever recorded from prison.
“The album is coming March 7… This is a crazy task that has never been done before,†he said.
Despite his circumstances, Tory Lanez remains determined to make music and prove his artistry.
