Tom Pelphrey is ready for whatever task fatherhood brings. After winning Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at the 2026 Emmys, the Task star opened up backstage about how he and his pregnant fiancée Kaley Cuoco are preparing for their second baby girl.
“We’re both so excited. Our daughter’s excited,” Pelphrey told E! News, referencing their 3-year-old daughter Matilda. “We’ll see how it goes when the baby actually gets there, but switching rooms, swapping things around and laughing at how different it is from one to two.” He added that while some things feel new, others feel like “not a big deal this time.” But the priority remains simple: “Mom and baby are healthy, so God willing, that keeps up, and we’re thrilled”.
Pelphrey also revealed they may have landed on a name for their second daughter. “We have one maybe,” he said. “We always leave open the possibility that she’ll sort of declare herself, so we’ll see”.
The couple announced in June that they were expecting another girl, sharing photos of a pink-filled gender reveal cake and a sonogram image of the baby appearing to give the middle finger. “Little sissy on the way!!!” Cuoco wrote. “@tommypelphrey girl dad for life”. The Emmy win capped a golden night for Pelphrey, who gave an emotional shoutout to “the very pregnant Kaley Cuoco” during his acceptance speech, calling her “my love, my best friend, my partner” and telling their unborn daughter, “Daddy loves you”.
