Tom Holland has made a rare and heartfelt admission about his relationship with Zendaya, describing it as the “best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
The couple, who met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016, kept fans guessing about their romance for years before confirming they were together in 2021. Known for keeping their personal lives private, Holland offered a glimpse into their dynamic during a recent interview on Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett’s Dish podcast.
When asked about working alongside Zendaya, Holland joked about the perks of sharing the same schedule. “Studios love it—one hotel room,” he quipped, before clarifying, “Separate cars, separate drivers. We’re not crazy now. It’s work, alright?!”
On a more serious note, the Uncharted star praised their relationship. “It’s a saving grace. Yeah, best thing that’s ever happened to me,” he said. Holland also touched on how their connection influences their work. “It’s just that perfect thing when you’re on set… and it’s that familiar glance at each other of like, ‘Can’t wait to talk about that later.’”
The couple will reprise their roles in the Spider-Man universe, with the fourth installment set for release on July 24, 2026. They are also teaming up for their first non-Marvel project next year, starring in a Christopher Nolan film alongside Matt Damon and Anne Hathaway.
Zendaya, in a previous Vanity Fair interview, described working with Holland as “strangely comfortable.” She said, “You feel extra safe with the person you’re acting beside… He’s so talented and passionate. Even when he’s absolutely worn down, he gives one thousand percent.”
