Todd Tucker Says He Stared at His Gun After Kandi Burruss Split

Todd Tucker is opening up about the darkest chapter of his life. The TV and film producer told Page Six that his divorce from Kandi Burruss after 11 years of marriage took a toll so severe that he found himself staring at his gun. “I spent a lot of time in my head, thinking, trying to figure out, ‘What did I just do? What just happened? Did I lose my family?'” he said. “I had nobody really to lean on.”

The Todd Tucker divorce left him living in a big guesthouse next to the home where Kandi and their four children were staying. Despite the proximity, he said he felt isolated and consumed by racing thoughts. He acknowledged looking at his gun but said he “snapped out of it” when he thought about his family and his kids, how they needed his full support during that period.

Todd and Kandi share two children together, 10-year-old Ace and 6-year-old Blaze, and both have adult children from previous relationships. He says he’s now in a more positive space, attending church and seeing a therapist. He also created a documentary about the split called Til Divorce Do Us Part, which he called “very emotional.” Kandi launched her own one-woman show in April, I Do. I Did. I’m Done, sharing her side of the story. The two married in 2014, separated in November 2025, and settled their divorce in March.
