The public feud between Lil’ Kim and her ex-boyfriend Tayy Brown has taken a sharp turn. Brown is now publicly apologizing nearly one year after he went on a social media tirade against the hip-hop legend.
Brown, a 25-year-old artist formerly signed to Kim’s label, took to Instagram Live on Monday evening. In a raw and emotional statement, he admitted he was ashamed of his past behavior. The couple first sparked romance rumors in February 2024, when Lil’ Kim was 49 and Brown was 24. By April 2025, their relationship had soured publicly, with Brown exposing private details and romance issues online.
In his live video, Brown explained he has been trying to reach out to Kim since December 2025. He said he wants to rebuild trust and earn back her love. “That’s gonna be forever,” he said. “It’s something I gotta work on.”
Brown acknowledged that because he disrespected her publicly, he needed to apologize publicly as well. He revealed he had been struggling with heavy drug abuse and alcoholism during the time of his online attacks. “I wasn’t really in my right mind,” he admitted. Since then, he has gone to rehab, survived a suicide attempt, and spent time in jail.
Speaking directly to Lil’ Kim, Brown called the situation one of the greatest regrets of his life. He admitted that some of the things he said were not true. “Hurt people hurt people,” he said. “I love her so much and I didn’t show that.”
Brown ended his apology by asking for a second chance. “Hopefully, one day she can find it in her heart to forgive me,” he said. “I want my baby back. I want my girl back.”
