Taylor Swift sent $50,000 to a Connecticut mom’s GoFundMe after she was struck by a car.
Ashley Taunton pulled over during a rainstorm to help a car involved in an accident on the side of the road, only to be struck by another car that hydroplaned toward her and the driver she was attempting to help. Ashley, a mother of three, has already undergone two surgeries for her injuries and says she still has a long road of recovery ahead.
Ashley got a surprise beyond her “Wildest Dreams” when she saw Taylor pop into her crowdfunding campaign with a 50,000 donation and a message wishing her and her family well. The donation to her “Wish List” will help her greatly as she heals.
Taylor is no stranger to charitable donations. She and her new husband Travis Kelce donated $26 million to 20 different charities ahead of their wedding this summer. Among the lucky recipients was the late Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, to which they donated $2 million for her literacy program that provides free books to children, and they received a personalized thank you from the country queen before her passing at 80.
Here’s to a Swift recovery, Ashley!
