Taylor Frankie Paul is officially off probation. A judge ruled on Friday, August 7 that the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star successfully completed her three-year probation as part of a plea deal from her 2023 domestic violence arrest.
The ruling also reduced her aggravated assault charge from a felony to a Class A misdemeanor. Paul’s attorney, Jon Williams, appeared on her behalf, as the influencer was not physically present for the hearing.
Paul was arrested in February 2023 after a violent altercation with her then-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen. According to court documents, she threw heavy metal chairs, her phone, and a wooden play set at him, one of which struck her 5-year-old daughter, who was sitting on the couch. In August 2023, Paul entered a plea in abeyance to aggravated assault, agreeing to three years of probation with conditions, including substance abuse and domestic violence evaluations. The remaining charges were dismissed.
The incident resurfaced in March 2026 when a leaked video of the fight went viral, prompting ABC to shelve Paul’s season of The Bachelorette just days before its premiere. While Paul and Mortensen have continued to face off in court over protective orders and custody, Friday’s ruling marked the formal end of her original probation. She is now fully compliant with the terms of her agreement.
