Nigeria’s Super Falcons have been seeded into Pot One for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), alongside Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses and South Africa’s Banyana Banyana. These three teams are the top seeds for the tournament.
The draw will see Morocco placed in Group A, Nigeria in Group B, and South Africa in Group C. Other teams are divided into the remaining pots: Zambia, Ghana, and Tunisia are in Pot 2, while Mali, Senegal, and Algeria are in Pot 3. Pot 4 includes the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, and Botswana.
The highly anticipated draw will take place at the Technic Centre of the Mohamed VI Football Complex in Sale, Morocco. The Super Falcons, who are perennial contenders, will be looking to add to their record WAFCON titles.
