Spider-Man: Brand New Day is swinging past every box office record in sight. The Tom Holland and Zendaya-led film has surpassed $1 billion globally in just six days, becoming the second-fastest movie to hit the milestone.

The film now sits behind only Avengers: Endgame, which earned $1.2 billion during its three-day opening weekend in 2019. Domestically, Brand New Day has already earned $407 million, making it the fastest film ever to surpass $400 million at the domestic box office. It achieved that milestone in just four days and also delivered the highest-grossing Monday in domestic box office history.

The film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, is the first in a planned new trilogy and picks up in the aftermath of the 2021 Spider-Man: No Way Home. Reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, with critics praising the chemistry between Holland and Zendaya, the emotional depth, and the surprising return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
