The U.S. leg of the ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ press tour has officially swung into action. Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, and Jon Bernthal gathered at Edge at Hudson Yards in New York City on Friday, July 17, for a stunning photocall that gave fans their first major look at the cast ahead of the film’s highly anticipated release. Director Destin Daniel Cretton also joined the cast, marking the beginning of an aggressive marketing campaign for the July 31 blockbuster.

The film picks up after the events of ‘No Way Home,’ with Peter Parker navigating a world that has completely forgotten his identity. Holland has described this chapter as “the darkest chapter of his life,” where Peter is fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man while struggling to watch his old friends, including MJ and Ned, move on without him. This isolation is said to spark a dangerous transformation that Peter may not be able to control.

The New York photocall comes after the cast made international stops, including a recent appearance in Madrid. The ensemble includes several new additions to the franchise, including Sadie Sink in a role that remains shrouded in mystery, Jon Bernthal returning as Frank Castle, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. Sink’s character remains one of the biggest secrets ahead of the film’s release. The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
