Nigerian rapper and controversial internet sensation, Speed Darlington, has once again stirred controversy following the release of a video showing him attempting to purchase a coffin for fellow artist, Portable. The video, which has gone viral, comes amid their escalating social media clash.
The drama started after Speed Darlington invited Portable to perform at his forthcoming show, but the Zazoo Zeh crooner rejected the invitation with insults. Portable accused Speed Darlington of using his name for clout and promoting the event without a proper booking. He further mocked the rapper by claiming that his booking fee is N20 million, an amount he believes Speed Darlington cannot afford.
Feeling disrespected, Speed Darlington took to social media to express regret over extending the invitation. He also reminded fans of Portable’s controversial past, alleging that Portable had been assaulted by a close friend over money-related issues — even claiming to have video evidence.
Things took a darker turn when Speed Darlington posted a disturbing video of himself bargaining for a coffin, claiming it was meant for Portable. He captioned the video: “@portablebaeby are you ready to die for not coming to my show on April 13th?”
The video immediately sparked massive backlash online, with many describing it as distasteful and extreme. While some fans dismissed it as a publicity stunt to keep their feud trending, others condemned it for crossing the line.
Despite the heavy criticism, neither Speed Darlington nor Portable has shown signs of resolving their feud anytime soon, as the drama continues to dominate conversations across social media.
