Nigerian singer and internet personality Speed Darlington recently shared a harrowing experience where his car was riddled with bullets in what seems to have been a targeted attack.
Taking to Instagram, the controversial artist recounted the terrifying incident, revealing that unidentified gunmen fired several shots at his vehicle shortly after he left a club in Victoria Island, Lagos.
“I Didn’t Realize It Was at Us”
In a video posted on social media, Speed Darlington showed the back of his car, now marked with bullet holes, and described the chaotic moments of the attack. Initially unaware that his car was the target, he only realized the gravity of the situation after his driver and security personnel explained what had happened.
“I heard gunshots but didn’t know they were directed at us,” he explained. “It wasn’t until the driver and security pointed it out that I understood. Local men with guns… this is crazy.”
Accusations Fly
In his post, Speed Darlington suggested the attack was orchestrated by someone he referred to as “long face.” He expressed shock and disbelief at the attempt on his life, stating, “Long face sent killers my way, and I haven’t even said anything yet. Is this really necessary? You tried to take my life. Really?”
