Snooki is gearing up for a pivotal moment in her cancer journey, sharing a health update just weeks before her hysterectomy. Five months after the Jersey Shore alum revealed her stage one cervical cancer diagnosis, she took to TikTok to explain her next steps and what fans can expect.
“So, I last left off with you guys saying that I was diagnosed with stage one cervical cancer and then I didn’t tell you what happened next,” Snooki said. “I’ve been so busy traveling and doing all the things, but now it’s game time. It’s happening soon”.
The 38-year-old detailed her recent PET scan, which confirmed the cancer had not spread. “I get there, and the nurse comes in with a big suitcase. I had no idea they inject you with radioactive material,” she recalled. “She opens this suitcase and gets this big ass needle out, and I’m like, ‘F–k me.’ I hate needles”. Despite the stress of the experience, the results brought relief, the cancer had not spread.
However, the procedure came with an unexpected rule: she couldn’t be near her children for the rest of the day. “I was basically a walking Chernobyl for the rest of the day,” she joked. “I kind of had alone time which, you know, not bad”.
Now, the mom of three is preparing for her hysterectomy. “My surgery is very soon,” she said. “I’m trying not to think about it or freak out. But like, I’m losing an organ. Right, it’s an organ? Your uterus, cervix thing? Yeah. OK” . She has already gone in for blood work and an EKG ahead of the procedure.
Throughout her journey, Snooki has expressed gratitude for her followers’ support. “I appreciate your love and support and concern for me,” she said. “It makes me feel loved and it’s helping me through this and all of your advice and what you’re going through. I know a lot of you women are going through this with me so I love that we have each other to just talk to each other about all the s–t” .
She concluded, “I love you and the next update video will be my hysterectomy”.
