Nigerian singer Skales has had enough of the relentless trolling from Wizkid’s fanbase and isn’t holding back. Taking to social media, the artist vented his frustrations, making it clear he’s tired of the constant draggings by what he calls a toxic fan culture.
Skales pointed out that Wizkid, the global superstar and his former label mate, seems unbothered by the actions of his fans. According to him, Wizkid not only enjoys the chaos but might even be supporting it financially. “
He’s seen this stuff, and he enjoys it—probably bankrolls these guys. No wahala! I can only keep my cool for some time
wrote, hinting at his breaking point.
The “Shake Body” crooner added that while he’s focused on his career, the endless trolling makes it hard to stay silent. “I love my life and pace. I don’t want anything from him. But let me be, or there will be war. You can love your Wiz, but leave me alone,” he fired back.
Skales also reminded fans of his past contributions to Wizkid’s career, claiming he had written some of Wizkid’s hit songs, including the popular WizParty. Despite his frustrations, he emphasized he isn’t looking for conflict but warned that prolonged provocation could escalate into something bigger.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Wizkid’s fans have clashed with other stars. Just recently, Tiwa Savage also called out Wizkid’s fanbase for trolling her online after she dropped a song on the same day as Wizkid. Tiwa labeled them bullies and urged them to let her promote her music in peace.
As Skales continues to push his career forward, he hopes for a truce, but his fiery words signal that he’s ready to defend himself if things don’t change. Stay tuned for more drama in this Naija celebrity saga!
