Love & Hip Hop star Sidney Starr was arrested Sunday at an Embassy Suites in Hapeville, Georgia, on charges of child molestation and sodomy. The 37-year-old reality personality, whose legal name is Sidney Favors, remains in custody at the Fulton County Jail without bond.
According to a police report, an “opened condom” fell from Starr’s pocket during a pat-down, and officers found another condom in her clothing. Starr initially told police that the boy approached her in the lobby, said she was “cute,” and claimed he was 18 when she asked his age. She said he followed her to her room.
Police confirmed the boy was under 16. The arrest warrant alleges Starr confessed to performing oral sex on the minor, claiming the encounter was consensual. A hotel employee had called authorities to report the incident.
Starr’s attorney says she “unequivocally denies the allegations” and intends to “vigorously defend herself through the legal process”. Her mother has defended her, saying the allegations are out of character. The case has been referred to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office
