Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze is reportedly on his way out of AC Milan as the Italian giants prepare for a major shake-up ahead of the 2025–26 season, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Chukwueze, who signed for Milan from Villarreal less than two seasons ago, has had a rocky stint in Italy, struggling with injuries and inconsistent form that have limited his impact on the squad. Despite featuring in 32 matches across all competitions this season, he has only started 11 times, logging 1,214 minutes out of a possible 4,140. This means he’s missed over 2,900 minutes of action—an alarming stat for a player once tipped as a game-changer.

With Milan looking to revamp their squad, the Nigerian international appears to be one of the first casualties. The club is also considering a change in leadership, with Fabio Paratici and club legend Zlatan Ibrahimović reportedly in line for the role of sporting director. A new coach is also expected, making room for an even deeper squad overhaul.

Fikayo Tomori is another name being linked with a departure, as is Theo Hernandez, while midfielders Yunus MusahRuben Loftus-Cheek, and full-back Emerson Royal are also reportedly on the chopping block.

For Chukwueze, a move could present an opportunity for a fresh start—possibly in a league that allows him to rediscover the spark that made him one of La Liga’s brightest young talents at Villarreal.
