Once a staple on reality TV screens, Rob Kardashian has chosen a quieter, more private life — and he’s determined to keep it that way. The former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, now 37, is reportedly struggling with intense fears of being photographed or recognized in public, a source revealed.
“When Khloé [Kardashian] suggests outings with the kids, Rob almost always refuses,” the insider shared. On the rare occasions he ventures out, Rob goes to great lengths to stay incognito, including driving blacked-out cars and even donning disguises.
Despite his reclusive lifestyle, there’s one bright spot that keeps him grounded: his 8-year-old daughter, Dream, whom he shares with ex Blac Chyna. “Dream is the center of his universe,” the source revealed. “Rob spends most of his time with her either at his house or over at Khloé’s.”
When Dream isn’t with him, Rob’s days are described as being low-key and centered around home life. “He usually hangs out at home with a few close friends, playing video games, eating pizza, and enjoying the safety of his gated community,” the insider said.
While Rob’s agoraphobia has left him mostly housebound, he hasn’t completely shut the door on romance. “He does have a bit of a love life,” the source disclosed. “But any woman interested in seeing him has to come to him because he almost never leaves his house.”
This reclusive lifestyle has become a growing concern for Rob’s family. “They’re worried about him shutting himself off from the outside world like this,” the source added.
Khloé, who has always been close to Rob, has been vocal about his struggles in the past. “When Lamar [Odom] was around, he was like a father figure for Rob. When Lamar left, Rob lost his sense of direction,” Khloé explained in a 2015 interview.
While Rob continues to live a life out of the spotlight, his family remains hopeful that he’ll find a path to rediscovering himself — and reconnecting with the world outside his gates.
