Global superstar Rihanna has opened up about her hopes for baby number three — and it turns out, she’s secretly wishing for a little princess.
The 37-year-old music and fashion mogul — who’s currently pregnant with her third child — recently sat down with Extra and revealed that after having two adorable boys with partner A$AP Rocky, she’s more than ready to welcome a daughter into their growing family.
“You have to wait and see,” Rihanna teased when asked about the baby’s sex. “Oh, my gosh, are you guys going to be so hurt if it’s a boy?”
When interviewer Terri Seymour admitted that fans are “secretly hoping” for a girl this time around, Rihanna smiled and confessed:
“I’ve always wanted a girl. God knows best, right? And I love my boys.”
Baby Name Tradition Continues
One thing the Diamonds hitmaker was willing to reveal? Her baby name plans. Just like RZA, 3, and Riot, 23 months, baby number three will carry on the R-name tradition.
“I mean, of course,” she confirmed. “It’s tradition at this point.”

Despite being one of the most powerful women in entertainment and fashion, Rihanna’s approach to parenting is surprisingly down-to-earth. Speaking to Interview magazine in 2024, she admitted motherhood has completely changed how she dresses — prioritizing comfort over glamour.
“It’s more like I spend my time getting the kids dressed to death,” she said. “And then I’m like, ‘What’s the most comfortable outfit to wear around them?’ Moms are lazy dressers in real life.”
Still, Rihanna’s love for style shines through — especially when it comes to dressing her sons in A$AP Rocky-inspired fits.
“Everybody thinks Rocky dresses them,” she joked. “Because I dress them in Rocky outfits.”
And just like many moms, she’s a pro at hand-me-downs. RZA’s old clothes are already being passed down to little Riot.
“I have racks, I have bags. They’re all sized and organised… Riot is actually in all of RZA’s one-year-old clothes already. He’s only six months!”
