Mia Thornton is facing potential jail time. The former Real Housewives of Potomac star has been hit with a felony charge stemming from her 2025 arrest for allegedly stealing furniture. According to court documents, the Fulton County District Attorney filed a felony theft by taking charge against the reality star.
The Mia Thornton charged case alleges that Thornton and an associate, Jared McGriff, stole furniture and a TV worth at least $5,000 but less than $25,000 on October 28, 2025, a couple of weeks before she was arrested. The alleged crime reportedly occurred while they were moving out of a furnished condo in the middle of the night. Thornton was arrested in November 2025 at the Atlanta airport.
After her arrest, Thornton took to social media, saying she was trying to stay “grounded” amid “chaos.” She was a cast member on RHOP from Season 6 through Season 9. She has not publicly commented on the felony charge. Her legal team has not issued a statement. The case remains ongoing, and a court date has not been announced.
