Popular Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu has opened up about a harrowing experience where she was kidnapped from a hotel after being invited to a movie set.
How It Happened
Speaking in a video posted on Regina Chukwu TV, the actress revealed that she was forced to spend the night at a hotel filled with prostitutes after the producer insisted that she stay. She was accompanied by veteran actor Akin Lewis, who pleaded with her to remain at the hotel out of respect for his seniority.
However, things took a dark turn when kidnappers broke down her door and forcefully took her away.
“I was undressing myself to sleep when somebody forcefully hit the door. I lodged in a hotel with Akin Lewis when some kidnappers broke the door and took me away.”
She was then driven away in a car, where the kidnappers used her ATM card to withdraw all her money, only sparing her ₦1,000 for transportation after the ordeal.
