Quavo and Offset are joining forces again for the first time in five years, and it’s all for a new collab. Quavo held a surprise listening party for his new album, Qrömelife, on Saturday, where Offset dropped in to tease their new song from the project, “Away.” Video from the event showed the two vibing as the track played over the speakers.
The Quavo Offset reunion comes nearly four years after the death of their Migos groupmate Takeoff, who was shot and killed in Houston in 2022. Quavo addressed that loss in an Instagram post about the album, writing: “We made this project together last year at a time when I was still dealing with grief and needed to create and express myself.” He continued: “Qromelife is about the journey of me going through tough times in life and getting to the other side through my faith, family, and my love for music. We keep pushing forward, we keep shining, we become Qrome.”
The album is executive produced by Pharrell. Quavo and Offset aren’t just teaming up for this one track, either, Quavo recently said they are in the process of making Migos’ final album. A release date for Qrömelife has not been announced.
