Nigerian music sensation Qing Madi has set the record straight after a social media critic took a jab at her over her alleged show fees.

During a recent interview on Beat FM, Madi shared the backstory of the controversy. She explained that a prospective client had tried booking her for a performance but was unable to meet her management’s terms, with the proposed fee reportedly hitting N19 million.

According to Madi, the individual seemed displeased after the negotiations failed, leading to the public rant on X (formerly Twitter). The singer humorously hinted that the fee in question might have been a bargain.

“I don’t really know all the details, but he contacted my team. Apparently, the person was upset that they couldn’t book me and took to Twitter. The funny thing? That N19 million might even be a discounted price,” she said, laughing.

Born Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma, the Delta State native is no stranger to headlines. Having launched her music journey through school talent shows and her church choir, Madi became a rising star after releasing her 2022 hit single “See Finish.”

By 2023, she had solidified her place in the industry with hits like “Ole” featuring BNXN and “American Love,” as well as a self-titled EP. She has also collaborated with top acts like Kizz Daniel, Joeboy, and American artist Chloe Bailey.

Fans are now eagerly counting down to January 31, when Madi is set to drop her highly anticipated debut album.

If there’s one thing clear, it’s that Qing Madi’s star power—and her worth—is only going up!
