Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Primeboy, has taken legal action against Abosede Adeyemo-Aloba, the mother of the late singer Mohbad.
Primeboy, who was one of Mohbad’s closest friends, accused Mohbad’s mother of making defamatory remarks about him following her son’s tragic passing.
Taking to Instagram on February 19, Primeboy shared a photo of a legal document filed at the High Court of Lagos, Ikeja Judicial Division.
According to the document, he is seeking ₦50 million in damages for what he describes as “libelous, injurious, false, and malicious statements” made by Mohbad’s mother in a March 28, 2024 interview. The lawsuit claims her remarks were designed to tarnish his reputation in the eyes of the public.
Background of the Defamation Case
Back in October 2024, Primeboy, through his lawyer Akinpelu Ogunbona, called out Mohbad’s mother for an interview where she allegedly accused him of having an altercation with her sonbefore his passing.
Primeboy denied the claims, describing them as character defamation and alleging that her statements damaged his public image and fanbase.
Now, with this lawsuit, he is officially seeking legal redress against what he believes to be false accusations.
