Rapper Pooh Shiesty will stay behind bars. A federal judge delivered the ruling Wednesday, telling the Memphis artist she could find no new conditions to offer that hadn’t already been tried. The decision lands amid serious allegations involving an armed incident at a Dallas recording studio.
Judge Toliver didn’t mince words from the bench. “I can’t find any condition to offer that hasn’t already been granted to you,” she said. The statement effectively ended any hope of release for the rapper, whose legal team had pushed for another chance at freedom. Pooh Shiesty denied bond means he awaits trial from a cell.
The case stems from an incident at a Dallas studio involving Gucci Mane and others. Authorities describe what they call an “executed armed takeover.” According to federal filings, multiple co-defendants worked together during the event. One victim was allegedly forced to sign paperwork at gunpoint. Cash, jewelry, and watches were also taken, with some individuals held as hostages during the confrontation.
Prosecutors have framed the incident as organized and threatening, not spontaneous or minor.
Pooh Shiesty’s legal team isn’t accepting the government’s version. They’ve questioned the timeline of events, arguing that concrete evidence supporting the claims simply doesn’t exist. The defense has pointed to inconsistencies in witness accounts and has suggested the portrayal of an armed takeover exaggerates what actually happened inside the studio.
