PlayStation Plus subscribers in Hong Kong are seeing a slight twist in their January 2025 lineup. While most regions have The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe as part of their free offerings, Hong Kong users are receiving DEEEER Simulator: Your Average Everyday Deer Game instead.
The global January 2025 PS Plus Essential lineup includes:
• Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
• Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered
• The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe (DEEEER Simulator in Hong Kong)
The reason for this regional difference remains unclear, as Sony has not provided an official explanation. While The Stanley Parable is a critically acclaimed narrative-driven game, DEEEER Simulator brings a chaotic and humorous experience akin to Goat Simulator. Despite mixed critical reviews, DEEEER Simulator has been embraced by fans for its quirky gameplay, earning “Very Positive” reviews on Steam.
PlayStation Plus subscribers are encouraged to check for region-specific changes to avoid surprises in future lineups. February 2025’s free games are expected to be announced on January 29, continuing Sony’s tradition of monthly reveals.
