Nollywood icon Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is opening up about her journey to self-acceptance after undergoing an emergency gallbladder surgery.
Taking to Instagram, the actress revealed how the procedure left her with scars and slightly altered one of her favorite features—her tummy.
“Late last year, I had emergency surgery. My tummy is one of the best parts of my body, but it’s not so perfect anymore,” she shared.
Despite this, Omotola is unshaken, proving that real confidence comes from within.

During a recent photoshoot, the actress instinctively grabbed her top, only to hear a small voice of doubt creeping in. But instead of letting insecurity win, she shut it down instantly.
“Not me! What will shake my confidence has not been created.”
She went on to reflect on the nature of scars, reminding fans that while some are visible, others are emotional—but none should ever define a person’s worth.
With a smile and a dance, Omotola proved once again why she remains one of Nollywood’s most resilient and inspiring stars.
