Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli is receiving an outpouring of love and support after YouTube took down her trending movie, Love In Every Word, following a copyright claim.
The film, which had amassed over 7 million views in just 72 hours, was removed due to a copyright infringement claim filed by Chinonso Obiora Skyberry, a Canadian-based network engineer. According to Chinonso’s LinkedIn, he owns Skyberry Studios, an Abuja-based photography and aerial videography business.
YouTube Removes Omoni Oboli’s Viral Movie
Fans were shocked to find the movie missing from Omoni’s YouTube channel. A message on the film’s link now reads:
“This video is no longer available due to copyright claims by Chinonso Obiora Skyberry.”
Love In Every Word is a heartfelt romantic drama exploring love, emotional resilience, and communication in relationships. The film, produced by Omoni Oboli and written by Mfon Abasi Michael Inyang, was well on its way to being one of the biggest Nollywood releases on YouTube before the sudden takedown.
Fans Outraged Over the Removal
The news sparked massive reactions online, with many accusing detractors of trying to sabotage Omoni’s success.

Omoni’s Past Battles in the Industry
This isn’t the first time Omoni has faced copyright issues on YouTube. In 2023, she had to take down another film due to a similar claim.
Earlier in 2024, she was also caught in a social media drama with Ruth Kadiri, who accused an unnamed filmmaker of buying fake views on YouTube, affecting the rankings of other Nollywood movies. Omoni subtly responded with a cryptic prayer post aimed at her detractors.
