Olivia Rodrigo is taking a stand against President Trump’s defunding of Planned Parenthood. The singer posted a dance video on the social media accounts for her upcoming Daisy Chain Fields festival, calling out the nearly 30 health centers that have closed since the law took effect.

Set to her song “My Way,” the video opens with Rodrigo and other women looking serious as text reads, “Learning that nearly 30 Planned Parenthood health centers have closed since President Donald Trump signed a law ‘defunding’ Planned Parenthood.” Then the mood shifts; they break out dancing as the text switches to, “But we’ll never stop fighting for sexual and reproductive health care!!!”

Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act into law on July 4, 2025, which defunded Planned Parenthood and cut federal Medicaid funding. A July report from Planned Parenthood Action Fund found that Medicaid visits to Planned Parenthood locations dropped by roughly 25%, representing more than 250,000 fewer patient visits compared with the previous year.

Rodrigo has been an active supporter of Planned Parenthood for years, receiving the organization’s Catalyst of Change Award in 2025. The video also promotes her upcoming Daisy Chain Fields festival, an all-women event taking place August 29 in Irvine, California, with 100% of net proceeds going to women-focused nonprofits, including Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood’s president praised Rodrigo, saying, “It means the world to us that Olivia is so deeply engaged in the fight for abortion rights”.
