An Olamide Fola new music collaboration is reportedly in the works, bringing together two generations of Nigerian street-hop royalty. The YBNL founder and the Dangbana Republik rising star have been spotted in studio sessions, fueling anticipation for what could become an instant anthem.

The potential Olamide and Fola collaboration represents a passing of the torch moment. Olamide has spent over a decade shaping the sound of Lagos street music, while Fola emerged as 2025’s biggest breakout star. His debut album Catharsis surpassed 100 million Spotify streams, and his collaboration with Shoday, “Paparazzi,” became the first new No. 1 song of 2026 in Nigeria.

Neither artist has officially confirmed the track’s release date. However, insiders suggest the song is already recorded and awaiting rollout. Fola has been on an incredible run, recently surpassing 1 billion career streams following the success of Catharsis. His March 2026 single “When The Party’s Over” with bees & honey debuted at No. 14 on Spotify Nigeria’s Daily Top Songs chart.

Olamide has a proven track record of elevating young talent. From Fireboy DML to Asake, his co-sign has launched multiple superstars. Fola, already a proven hitmaker, doesn’t need a co-sign—but a track with Baddo would cement his transition from “rising star” to “established force.” The move would also signal Olamide’s continued relevance in discovering and collaborating with the next generation.

Fans should expect an announcement in the coming weeks. Fola is set to headline indigo at The O2 in London on April 19, 2026, followed by a UK and Ireland tour. A pre-tour single with Olamide would generate maximum buzz. Until then, the streets wait.
