Media personality Nedu Wazobia has taken legal action against social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM), serving him a pre-action notice over alleged defamation.

How the Controversy Started

The drama began when comedian DeeOne claimed on The Honest Bunch podcast that VDM had intimate relationships with men. In response, VDM accused Nedu of orchestrating the claims and leaking their private conversations.

VDM went further, accusing Nedu of sexual exploitation and alleging that the Nedu Scholarship Foundation (NDSCHF) defrauded an NGO that sought a partnership.

Nedu’s Legal Response

In a letter dated February 24, Nedu’s lawyers claimed that VDM made defamatory and false allegations in his social media videos. The letter also referenced the NGO fraud accusation, stating that a police investigation found no case against Nedu.

The legal team demanded that VDM retract all videos within 24 hours, issue a public apology, and pay ₦500 million in damages.

Excerpt from the Legal Notice:

“Your continuous and relentless attempts to defame Nedu and Tokindrumz and tarnish their good and respected name are both unwarranted and damaging. Let it be clearly stated: Our Clients did not commit fraud against MSBM.”

Nedu’s lawyers warned that failure to comply would result in further legal action.

What’s Next?

So far, VDM has not publicly responded to the legal threat. However, given his reputation for bold social media commentary, this feud is far from over.
