The future of Nigerian star Victor Osimhen remains up in the air as Napoli prepare to recall the striker while Saudi giants Al Hilal ready yet another monster bid for his services.

Currently enjoying a break in Lagos, Nigeria, Osimhen is expected to return to Italy soon, with Napoli set to send a formal letter confirming his resumption ahead of pre-season training on July 15, 2025, at the Castel Volturno Sports Centre.

Osimhen spent the just-concluded season on loan at Galatasaray, where he had a standout campaign. The 26-year-old finished as the Turkish Super Lig’s top scorer, helping the club clinch two major trophies, including the league title. He bagged an impressive 37 goals and 8 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.

Top Clubs Circle — But No Progress Yet

Following his red-hot form in Turkey, several top European clubs — including Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Juventus, and even Galatasaray — have shown interest in signing him permanently. However, none has made any concrete progress.

Surprisingly, it’s Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal who have emerged as frontrunners. Despite Osimhen previously rejecting their offers, the club is reportedly preparing a fresh bid that could earn him a jaw-dropping €50 million per season.

Insiders Say Al Hilal Move Is Close

According to Italian journalist Armando Areniello, writing for ArenaNapoli, “Victor Osimhen has never been so close to leaving Napoli. Al Hilal’s latest monstrous bid could be decisive.”

Negotiations with Napoli are ongoing, and a transfer fee between €60m and €65m could seal the deal.

Ivan Zazzaroni, editor of Corriere dello Sport, told Radio Kiss Kiss:

“I’ll almost give it to you as a done deal. Victor Osimhen will go to Al Hilal. No one else can match the offer, not even half! €40m a year is impressive… Galatasaray can’t afford it, and there are no offers from the Premier League. It would be a surprise if he didn’t go there.”

Napoli Ready For His Return — But For How Long?

While Al Hilal are optimisticNapoli are still preparing for Osimhen’s return, expecting him to rejoin the squad once his loan officially ends at midnight on Monday.

Unless a last-minute move is confirmed, Osimhen will return to Napoli on July 15, though how long he stays remains to be seen.

With money, ambition, and pride on the table, Victor Osimhen’s next move could define the next chapter of his already remarkable career.
