Millie Bobby Brown defends husband Jake Bongiovi in a fiery new podcast appearance, shutting down critics who have questioned why he doesn’t carry her belongings or push their child’s stroller.
The Stranger Things star appeared on Kylie Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast. In a preview clip, she directly addressed the backlash that has followed recent family outings. Fans have been vocal online, calling out Jake for seemingly never giving her a hand with bags, suitcases, or their adopted baby’s stroller.
But Brown has a simple answer: she’s already three miles ahead.
“When did women become incapable of holding their own bags, car seats and stuff?” Brown asked on the podcast. She explained that the Jake Bongiovi criticism stems from a misunderstanding of their dynamic.
“This stems from me holding all of my suitcases and bags and my kid,” she said. “And people are like, ‘Your husband doesn’t hold a single thing.’ Because I’m three miles ahead. I have been planning this all night.”
Brown also pointed to what she sees as hypocrisy. Women empower other women to do everything on their own, she argued. Then those same women turn around and get angry at Jake for not helping her.
She made it clear that Jake knows she is fully capable of handling her own responsibilities. The Millie Bobby Brown defends husband moment has since gone viral, with fans split. Some applaud her confidence. Others still feel partnership should mean shared physical load.
Either way, Brown is not backing down. She has Jake’s back completely, and she wants the internet to move on.
